Issue #5
Although issue #4 has yet to be released (due to set-backs at our printer), I don't see any reason why we shouldn't look optimistically ahead at issue#5 of The Arcadia Anthology.
Three of the five stories have already been completed.
All things willing, issue #5 should be available in September.
Fingers crossed.
The main cover art and colors are by Kyle Chaney Jr.

A Look Ahead
Here's a glimpse into the future for you.
As we announced last week, Kyle Chaney Jr. has moved from being our regular cover colorist, to become our regular cover artist for the remainder of the series. That includes doing the art for The Arcadia Anthology Annual in January.
Blue Bug, Lucero, Sovereign, and Z will join forces to rescue Cyprus, who is being held captive by the power-hungry Rona Synn. (all pictured above)
Oddly enough, the annual will be Kyle's final cover the series, but it is the first one he has completed.
I don't know how that happened, but what's done is done, and I'm not gonna worry about it.
I'm just gonna enjoy it!
I hope you do too.

You're a Good Man, Malacai Brown
Malacai Brown, who has served as our resident cover artist for The Arcadia Anthology, will be stepping down from that position. Personal reasons will prevent him from supplying line-art for the remaining two issues of the series.
Our cover colorists (and creator/artist of Z-The Dream Warrior), Kyle Chaney Jr. will step in to fill the void left by Malacai's departure.
We all wish Malacai the best, and look forward to a time when he can return to The Arcadia Comics Collective.

The Female of The Species
Blue Bug meets his first female adversary in Arcadia Anthology #5.
The Centipede is an assassin sent to complete the hit on Blue Bug, that was first attempted by Air-Raider (in Arcadia Anthology #1).
Blue Bug might stand a chance against her, but he's already got his hands full with an unconscious, 12-year old boy who needs medical attention.
The struggle begins in September!

Blue Bug is Busting Out!
Before the end of his run in The Arcadia Anthology, Blue Bug will be co-starring in a second series!
Double Feature Comics #0 is scheduled to be released in October, to coincide with our appearance at the Collectors Convention in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
More details to come as the project progresses.

Issue #4 Delayed
As we move forward on our creative journey here at The Arcadia Collective, we are constantly learning important lessons about the process of independent comic book production.
The latest lesson is this: "Summertime is Comic Convention season. And with the increase of orders being placed with our printer(Ka-blam.com), delays can be expected."
Due to this fact, the release of issue #4 of The Arcadia Anthology will be delayed by at least another week.
We should still make the July target date, but slightly later than we'd hoped.

If At First We Don't Succeed...
The cover of Arcadia Anthology #4 has undergone some revisions.
I felt that the original composition focused too much on the background elements when the focus of the image should have been Lucero. Also, Lucero's pose and posture really didn't reflect the dire situation she is in, surround by enemies from all sides.
I worked with our cover artist, Malacai Brown, in order to correct the cover, and shift the focus.
Lucero is now center stage(where she belongs)... and in a bit of a dilemma!
The final version of this image will grace the cover of issue #4 of The Arcadia Anthology in July.
Issues #1-3 are currently on sale at Indyplanet.com (keyword search: Arcadia)

Completely Covered
Here is the completed version of our cover for issue #2. The layout was inspired by comic book covers from The Golden Age. Compare it to the cover of Flash Comics #1 from 1940. I think the layout works just as well today, as it did 70 years ago!
Art by Malacai Brown, Colors by Kyle Chaney Jr, and Text/Graphics by Eric Lamont.
